Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness.  Our care and services are provided free of charge to patients from our new location at Shelford Bottom, Cambridge and theAlan Hudson Day Treatment Centrein Wisbech, North Cambridgeshire.We deliver care to over 1,000 patients each year through our specialist palliative care Inpatient Unit, Day Therapy and Community including Hospice at Home Services, helping our patients and their loved ones to make every moment count.We would not be able to provide all of these services, without the generosity of our supporters, donors, local businesses, community groups and all those who undertake fundraising activities or who give up their time to volunteer from the local and wider community.  We are grateful for their support and involvement

This Study Day is aimed at:This day is suitable for healthcare professionals working in the community, hospital setting, care home or for a care agency who are caring for palliative patients. This session includes:<ul><li>Relevant bereavement models</li><li>Explore the use of communication skills</li><li>Support healthcare professionals to work to level 2 NICE guidelines.</li><li>Consider when to refer the family for further support</li><li>Explore how to look after ourselves</li><li>Embracing the ‘priorities of care for the dying person’.</li></ul> Price: £100.00Fully funded places are available for CPFT staff. You will be asked for proof of eligibility so please only register for a free place if you are eligible. Limited fully funded places for students. Location: Education Centre, Arthur Rank Hospice, Cherry Hinton Road, Shelford Bottom, Cambridge CB22 3FB. The Education &amp; Conference Centre at the hospice is fully accessible. Directions and Visitor Parking to the Education &amp; Conference Centre By Car: If you are using Sat Nav please use the P&R postcode CB22 3AB as some sat navs do not currently recognise the location of the new hospice. Car parking at the Park and Ride is free for up to 18 hours. The car park at the Hospice is reserved for patients, families and Blue Badge holders only. By Public Transport/Taxi: Cambridge Railway Station is approximately 3 miles from the Hospice. Taxis are available outside the entrance to the station or buses run from the city centre/railway station/Addenbrookes to the Babraham Park &amp; Ride. Once at the Park &amp; Ride, walk towards the vehicular entrance to access the pedestrian footpath to the hospice Cycling: There are secure bicycle racks at the front of the hospice.
