Training for new and existing Parish Safeguarding Officers | 19th September 2024

<h3>Parish Safeguarding Officer Induction</h3>T his course is suitable for all new Parish Safeguarding Officers and any PSOs who would like a refresher. Training takes place in person at Flourish House, Wells and begins at 10am. By the end of this pathway participants will be able to:<ul><li>Understand the role, responsibilities, and key working relationships of the Parish Safeguarding Officer, including the Local Authority, Diocesan Safeguarding Manager (DSM) and Parochial Church Council (PCC).</li><li>Identify a variety of approaches to raising awareness and improving safeguarding practice.</li><li>Evaluate safeguarding information reported by members of the church or community and determining an appropriate response.</li><li>Utilise Parish Dashboards and use them to build development plans for safeguarding practice in their context</li></ul> Please note: if you need to cancel your attendance please do inform us with as much notice as possible so your place can be offered to someone else.
