Learn with us in our beautiful community garden spaces! Learn about natural cosmetics, herbalism, mending, repairing, making with clay  and more. By participating in our workshops, you help support the charity as a whole and our continued community work.

Back by popular demand!Join us for another workshop focused on working with flowers, herbs and plants you can grow in your own garden. Ever wondered if you could use the plants on your windowsill to make a beverage - but nervous to move past sprinkling flowers in your Pimm's Cup? We will be hosting this Botanical Cocktail Workshop at the Floating Garden, our barge on Regents Canal, a few steps away from Coal Drops Yard. We will break down the process for infusing herbs, plants, spices and more to make a variety of syrups, infusions and liqueurs for consumption.Join us for a practical session where we will:<ul><li>discuss the building blocks of a delicious mocktail or cocktail</li><li>try our hands at making a herbal syrups and a herbal liqueur</li><li>do a tasting of a few different cocktails</li></ul>We will provide all the materials needed and you'll be sent home with your own taster bottle of your choice of herbal syrup or liqueur.About the Space and AccessibilityThe Floating Garden is a barge moored along the Regents Canal near Coal Drops Yard with views of the surrounding area. There is an indoor classroom space on the barge so the session will go ahead rain or shine. The barge is not yet completely wheelchair accessible - there is a set of stairs that lead directly to the mooring or lifts that give access to the towpath, however there is one step required to get from the towpath to the barge and steps from the main deck area to the toilet. Please speak to the team if you have specific accessibility questions.About your workshop lead - Jillian:Jillian has worked in the hospitality industry for many years specialising in making well balanced delicious drinks. She developed a bar programme while working at Kudu Restaurant specifically focused on repurposing kitchen waste items like pineapple rinds, herb stalks and more. Her interests lie in crafting delicious seasonal cocktails and helping others feel confident to re-purpose items in our own kitchens and gardens to make drinks year round.About Global Generation:<a href="https://www.globalgeneration.org.uk/" title="https://www.globalgeneration.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Global Generation</a> is an environmental education charity with garden sites located throughout London. We offer activities such as urban food growing, supporting bees, carpentry, cooking, storytelling, creative writing, performance and more. We aim to create the conditions for people to come together, connect with themselves, others and their local area and to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale, and we encourage those who can, to pay it forward. We have a donation option where you can put money towards supporting the work we do including offering free spaces for community members.
