Hazel Hill Wood is a beautiful, secluded 70-acre wood and sustainable retreat and education centre, seven miles from Salisbury, offering unique scope for people to deepen their connection with nature and learn about living renewably.Our eventsprogrammeincludes retreats, conservation activities and the wood is available for hire and group bookings. Thefacilitiesinclude an indoor group room and large kitchen, heated bedrooms and sleeping lofts, good showers, compost loos, along with beautiful outside spaces, camping area and hot tub.  We can offer a range ofteaching inputsand conservation projects on programmes for external clients.

Join us for wildlife and fun-filled activities, and bring your own picnic. We'll provide some homemade cake - feel free to bring some along to share too!Activities will run from 11am-12.30pm and will include:<ul><li>Bug hunting</li><li>Nature-themed games</li><li>Tree identification</li></ul>Official picnic time starts at 12.30pm.We are able to run these events thanks to seed funding awarded by <a href="https://www.transitionsalisbury.org/" title="https://www.transitionsalisbury.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Salisbury Transition City</a>. Including the "secret wildlife" that isn't always easy to spot!Children are welcome to come with a responsible adult who must supervise them at all times. Ticket prices - booking essentialGeneral admission ticket - £10 adult, £8 child.Donation ticket - pay what you can/want to (either less or more!).Free ticket - if you can't afford to pay today.Your money will support Hazel Hill Trust’s charitable work. The more we raise, the more we can grow this project for the benefit of Salisbury residents. What to wearPlease check the weather forecast, dress accordingly and bring suncream, waterproofs, warm layers and insect repellent as appropriate – if you’re not sure then bring it all! How to get hereThis event will take place in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Crane Bridge Road, Salisbury, SP2 7TD. We encourage you to arrive by walking, wheeling and/or public transport. Bicycle parking is available just outside the park.Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, e.g. about coming alone. FAQsIs this suitable for everyone?The session is suitable for most people. It is helpful for us to know if you have any mobility or medical conditions or other additional needs so we can plan accordingly - please let us know in the booking form.Is this only fun for kids?Definitely not! Our wildlife activities are enjoyed by all ages.Can I bring my dog?No dogs please.What if it's raining?We believe in getting out whatever the weather! Please assume the event is going ahead unless you hear otherwise by email the day before. We may postpone if the weather forecast is really wet/stormy, but will go ahead in most weathers e.g. light rain, showers.
