Inside Out programme of free walks during August

Wonderful Westminster - a cultural treasure trove!  Come on a free walk with a friendly, qualified City of Westminster guide during the “Inside Out” Programme in August 2024.  There is a huge range of walks to choose from, so something for everyone!

We have heard of the Suffragists and Suffragettes, find out what life was like for Victorians females, and how just a few strong minded women made such a massive impact on everybody’s lives forever. They achieved the impossible, sacrificed so much, but believed and opened doors that others did not think even existed.Westminster is the perfect location for visually explaining the campaign for Votes for Women. Yes they resorted to various methods, not everyone would agree with, what were these methods and why did this happen?Who were the women behind the campaign, what triggered their actions, and what were the consequences?This walk is led by City of Westminster Guide Julie Conway. Meet Julie at the bottom of the steps in Trafalgar Square by the National Gallery. This free walk is part of the “Inside Out” programme of walks, kindly supported by Westminster Council.After the walk we would be very grateful if you could you complete a short survey, with questions about the walk.
