Leeds NERDs - Spring Meeting
Welcome to the 2nd meeting of the Leeds NEonatal Resarch Dream team (Leeds NERDs, for short!)
This event is for anyone who wants to talk about how we can make things better for families who have been on the neonatal unit at Leeds Hospitals.
We have the room booked from 9am to 1pm. The meeting will run from 10am to 12noon. We would like to welcome people from 9:30am for a drink and snack before we start. Families are also welcome to stay for a time afterwards. We welcome families, and the meeting will be relaxed. Children (under supervision) are welcome, and there will be lots of breaks, so you can come and go if needed.
The meeting will include presentations from researchers and healthcare staff, and some focus group activities. There will be lots of chances to have your say. The areas we will discuss will be:
- How should we use medicines safely at home?
- Should music be used on the neonatal unit?
- Do premature babies going to nursery get more infections than babies delivered at term?
A £10 gift voucher will be given as a thank you for taking part. Travel expenses can also be paid (e.g. parking).
