We offer a variety of events from guided tours, where you will learn about the fascinating history of the garden, to photography and art workshops, mindfulness and meditation sessions, nature walks and willow weaving.  We are constantly expanding our offering as a way to share this unique garden with the wider community. Explore the garden at your leisure then relax on the terrace of this unique lost garden with a glass of Prosecco for our series of expert talks about the history of gardens and gardening.With a passion for plants and plant conservation, Devon horticulturist Caradoc Doy gives an interesting and entertaining talk about plants and plant hunters that squeezes 200 years of gardening history into 60 minutes with the aid of a few props and some interesting plants! Come along if you wish to learn more about the dangers and adventures of plant hunting during the Victorian heyday and some of the horticultural treasures discovered along the way.Caradoc is a Devon-based horticulturist, who is currently researching the first major plant importers to England, James Veitch &amp; Sons, which was based in Exeter and Chelsea in the late-nineteenth century.The ticket price includes a self-guided tour of the garden with our illustrated guide, and a glass of Prosecco or soft drink.This is an outdoor event so pleased come prepared with warm clothes and umbrellas in case of a cool or wet summer evening!There is limited parking at the garden so tickets are sold for a minimum of 2 aduts in 1 car with the option to add additional attendees arriving in the same car.
