Register to join fellow University of Edinburgh alumni in the Bay Area for a get-together on Thursday 22 August in Palo Alto, hosted by <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/helen-hastie" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/helen-hastie" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Professor Helen Hastie FRSE</a>, Head of the School of Informatics.The event will take from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at The Stanford Park Hotel (100 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA 94025). This will be a great chance to catch up with friends, share memories of your time at Edinburgh and make new connections over drinks and canapés.Professor Hastie will share the latest news from the University and the School of Informatics, where is a Professor of Human-Robot Interaction. You will also hear about exciting developments such as the Generative AI Laboratory (GAIL) - a bold new multi-million-pound initiative, announced during the 60th anniversary of AI and Computer Science at Edinburgh last year, which will push the forefront of generative AI to benefit society and stimulate economic growth.You will also be joined by Ashley Warmington, Regional Development Manager at the University based in California, who looks forward to connecting with local alumni.If you would like to attend, please register via this page and we will share further details with those registered in due couse.Please do share this invitation with other University of Edinburgh alumni in the area who may not currently be on our mailing lists.
