<h3>Creating a neurodivergent friendly workplace  </h3> Are you a business owner who employs neurodivergent staff? Do you want to know how to get the very best from them by creating a neurodivergent friendly workplace? Then we’d love to welcome you to our in-person workshop on Friday 31 January where our experts will be covering this very topic.   We know that neurodivergent people thrive and can produce their best work in an environment which meets their needs. But as a manager or business owner, particularly if you’re not neurodivergent yourself, it can be really hard to know what support you need to be putting into place.   Our workshop will give you practical steps to take, allowing you to feel empowered in how to help both the staff you have today and the ones you might employ in the future. Neurodivergent staff are a real asset to the workforce and understanding how you can help them to thrive will put your business ahead of many others.   What we will coverThe three-hour workshop will take place at our Sunshine Hub in Derby and will be hosted by Precept HR and Employment Solutions along with Sunshine Support experts. You’ll leave having learnt:   <ul><li>What is neurodiversity and the benefits of having a neurodivergent workforce </li><li>How to create an inclusive environment with practical strategies you can use to accommodate neurodivergent employees.  </li><li>Understanding the law with a focus upon the requirements under the Equality Act 2010. </li><li>How best to communicate and interact with neurodivergent staff – these tips will also be great for sharing across your business </li><li>How to tailor job roles to suit the strengths of neurodivergent staff in order to enhance productivity and job satisfaction. </li><li>Understanding the importance of training and awareness raising across the whole of your business </li><li>Loads of information on support networks and employee assistance programmes.  </li></ul> We are confident that this workshop will give you knowledge which not only benefits your business now but will reap rewards for years to come.   <h4>The important bits you need to know:  </h4> <ul><li>This is an in-person event running on Friday 31 January from 10am – 1pm at the Sunshine Hub, our dedicated training and events space.  </li></ul><ul><li>The address is Suite 6, Chatsworth House, Aspen Drive, Derby, DE21 7SR. <h4>More about our speaker: </h4> Philip Pearson-Batt is a highly experienced Senior Associate in the team at Precept HR and Employment Solutions. After qualifying as a solicitor, he specialised in Employment &amp; HR Law, working with a wide range of clients from a number of different sectors. Prior to working with employers, Philip’s background focused on acting for employees. This background allows Philip to understand the issues that his employer clients are facing from a different angle. It also means he can come up with commercial and pragmatic resolutions to problems, using his valuable insight and experience.
