Reignite is a vision for the city in which we leverage our <a href="https://mediaartscities.com/" title="https://mediaartscities.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UNESCO Media Arts</a> designation to attract inward investment, develop educational pathways, retain graduates, create more jobs, and quantify the economic impact of the sector on the wider economy of York.Reignite V showcases collaborations that have led to new innovations across the city. Unexpected collaborations often yield surprising and innovative results, breaking traditional boundaries and fostering creativity. Such collaborations demonstrate the transformative potential when diverse fields intersect, leading to ground-breaking advancements and inspiring new ways of thinking. These partnerships exemplify how talent can drive progress and captivate audiences in unexpected and delightful ways. At this special event, we are inviting you to hear from Pilot Theatre and their work with new technologies, City Cruises and their work with Netflix, the National Railway Museum on commissioning artworks for WonderLab, and Castle Howard working with Tony Cragg.The focus of Reignite V is to shine a light on innovative collaborations and ask questions about how, as a city, we can be working together in more unique and diverse way across sectors.We are looking at how, together, we can develop our city's ecosystem to drive further economic development. This will be followed by the LATE event at York Art Gallery which offer access to the collections and a last chance to see the gallery's hugely succesful Monet exhibition, with a DJ and drinks available. Places are limited. Register early to secure your place.The event is supported by Aesthetica, City of York Council, Funded UK Government, York BID, City Cruises, Pilot Theatre, Castle Howard, NRM, Dutch Barn Vodka and York Museums Trust.
