At Draw we run affordable online and in-person drawing, painting and printmaking classes, open to everybody. We run online life classes and printmaking-from-home courses for our international drawing community, as well as our in-person programme at venues in Brighton & Hove.

Join us in person for a relaxed, friendly portrait drawing session where everybody takes it in turn to pose.  This weekly session is free!

The Open House

The idea is simple - everybody meets at the pub, and once settled, takes it in turns to pose for a few minutes while everybody else draws!By the end of the evening you will all have been drawn and will all have a collection of drawings of other people. It’s a sociable, light-hearted, untutored evening of drawing; a chance to practice drawing a wide range of faces and to meet some lovely new people at the same time! This cosy session is free to attend and it a great way to meet some local artists, hang out, and of course, draw. You do not have to book for this session - it is totally fine to just turn up! We start at about 6:30pm, usually have a little break part way through, then finish at 8:30pm. It is totally fine to arrive late or leave early as you like. It is also fine to arrive early and say hi!What you need to bringBring your own materials - some basic kit is provided as a back up if you don’t have anything.Finding usThe session is run at the Open House pub in Brighton, directions are <a href="https://www.draw-brighton.co.uk/about/location/open-house" title="https://www.draw-brighton.co.uk/about/location/open-house" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HERE</a>. When you enter the pub, you will usually find us in the backroom on the left, behind the bar. There will be music playing; bar serves food and has a range of drinks including a local beers and soft drinks.Supporting the sessionsThe sessions are free to attend and are funded by the Draw Patreon.
