Mindfulness for the mind is like fitness training for the body. Does your mental body look as hot as your physical one? How do you know?Introduction to Mindfulness explains how to begin taking care of our 'mental body'. It's like a gym induction, introducing you to different 'workouts'.We spend our lives either in the future – planning, worrying, inventing countless scenarios, or in the past – remembering, regretting, missing, re-living. Each of those activities brings emotional responses which – it feels – are beyond our control.Mindfulness training teaches us to develop a distance to thoughts, feelings and emotions, as something that we DO, not who we ARE.Once we see that, we can be more in charge of our lives. By being fully aware of the present moment we take away the power, over us, of what happened in the ‘past’ and what might happen in the ‘future’.Mindfulness practice helps with stress reduction as well as with managing chronic pain, depression, addiction, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD) and some other mental health conditionsWhy mindfulness?Do you feel that you are controlled by your thoughts, feelings and emotions?Mindfulness training with Anna will teach you to change that relationship and to find more enjoyment in everything you do.Mindfulness helps manage and also prevent severe health conditions.It is a tool for your mental hygiene – your “mental floss” for life.
