Concert: Tashi Wada / Dialect

Full of Noises is a sound art and new music organisation based in a public park on Cumbria's Furness Peninsula. We produce and commission new work from contemporary composers and sound artists through a programme of residencies, performances, and public realm installations.

Full of Noises

Tashi Wada - live performance at Piel View House as part of Full of Noises' 15th anniversary concert series.

Piel View House

Los Angeles-based musician Tashi Wada works within a heady, intergenerational slipstream bridging storied East and West Coast art music institutions, and the DIY experimental scenes that emerged in the 2000s and 2010s.Between recording and performing with his partner, Julia Holter, and running his record label Saltern, Wada has carved a unique path as a forward-thinking composer alongside a tight network of collaborators, drawing on diverse influences and exchanges.Wada’s new album for RVNG Intl., What Is Not Strange?, strips away preconceptions of the scope of his music, presenting complex, pop-informed compositions that bristle with joy.Tickets are priced £10 for this concert - this is a one-off slight price increase to reflect this concert is part of FON's 15th birthday series. We still have the Pay What You Can ticket option.Tashi photographs by Dicky Bahto

DialectAlso on the bill - Dialect - the solo project of British musician and composer Andrew PM Hunt. Embracing an intuitive, collage-like approach to sound, he assembles rich organic textures with evocative electro-acoustic environments, resulting in compositions that are both fragmented and deeply personal. Andrew performed at Full of Noises this year in his other role as member of Ex-Easter Island Head.
