Welcome to Behind the Sm;le's heartfelt emotive event "Join us on a Candle Lit Lantern Walk with Poetry on 7th September! Get ready to immerse yourself in an evening filled with beautiful lanterns, soothing candlelight, and inspiring poetry, as we remember our loved ones whose lives have ended too soon or those struggling with suicide ideation.This year's theme is "CHANGING THE NARRATIVE ON SUICIDE" Start the conversation today. Every chat, no matter how small, builds a more supportive and understanding society.Suicide can affect every one of us. By raising awareness, reducing the stigma &amp; encouraging action we can help to reduce the instances of suicide around the world.So, let's come together on Sat Sep 07 2024 at 7:15 PM at the well-known Sabrina Bridge for a night to remember everyone who has been touched by suicide or have thought about it. As you may be aware Sabrina and Worcester Bridge and more recently Diglis Bridge have been the place of many unfortunate scenes, so a natural place to reflect. We will have a short talk and read poetry, start to walk reading at various stops, ending back at Sabrina Bridge, reading out names we have gathered to remember, with a final reflection and final poem before departing.Even if you come alone, you will be amongst; either people bereaved, those who are struggling, or someone who may know anyone who fits into any possibility. Bring your friends and family along for a peaceful remembrance and thoughtful experience.If you write poetry and want to take part please email us by 28th August, with your contribution, letting us know if you would be interested in reading it on the night or prefer someone else to read it on your behalf. info@behindthesmile.care
