<h1>About this event</h1> <h2>Join us for a hands-on workshop where you learn how to make hand sewn patchwork cushions!</h2><h2> </h2>Feeling like you need some creative inspiration and a new hobby to take on? Join us for this creative workshop that focuses on Patchwork Cushions in this relaxed and hands-on workshop delivered by Ruth.This is an introductory session. No prior experience needed and materials provided. You can expect hand-sewing, learning how to put together geometric shapes with fabric, and designing your very own cushion to take home.Connect with others and learn a new skill! About our facilitator:Ruth is a self-trained artist and needle woman based in Clive Vale. She is a published author, and has a special interest for writing biographies about famous actors. Her latest published book is about Denis Price. Your workshop ticket gets you:1.5 hour creative session on learning to sew a patchwork cushion.An opportunity to meet new friends and share skills.A chance to ask Ruth any technical sewing and design questions.A patchwork cushion to take home, with fabric to complete your project at home.Snacks and refreshments. *Please note that this is a pilot project and that the costs of workshops may change/increase in the future.*Please consider the costs of materials in your donation payment to attend a class.*Our classes are for adults aged 18+ only unless specifiied otherwise. Access info:The building is wheelchair accessible.There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of the session.Lighting and sound levels can be adjusted in the space. A chill out space will be provided.*If you have an access requirement that you need support with, or need financial support to cover your travel costs in attending our workshops, please contact Santi, Programme Coordinator: santi@hastingscommons.com .We will be in touch with dietary requirements and a monitoring form after your ticket is booked. Age requirements:This class is adults who are 18+ only. If you need to bring a child , or anyone under the age of 18, we require you to request this before attending.
