Rhubaba Gallery and Studios

Rhubaba and Atelier present an in-conversation event with anthropologist Daniel Miller and lecturer in Visual Culture Angela McClanahan. The event takes place within the exhibition Still life with flying objects, where Daniel and Angela will speculate on how focusing on material culture can help us to illuminate how objects shape various social, cultural and natural worlds and vice versa.
Daniel is the author of several volumes and studies that examine various forms of materialism and materiality including The Comfort of Things and Stuff.
Atelier has been established by a group of colleagues from the University of Edinburgh’s College of Humanities & Social Sciences, forming a network of arts and social sciences scholars and staff from museums and art galleries in Scotland.
