A cutting in Masterclass

Seagulls is a social enterprise based in the heart of Leeds. We aim to promote the reuse and repurposing of unwanted materials and sustainable living solutions whilst providing volunteering, training and job opportunities for marginalised people.We have a large creative space with canvases to host painty events, a lovely big table in our paint store for colour consultations and a multi functional workshop space with three decorating pods that simulate real rooms.

Fed up with wonky lines, the wrong colour paint on the ceiling and fiddling about with masking tape? Book onto this masterclass and learn the key skill to successfully decorating a room.We think Cutting in is the most important decorating technique to get right when it comes to painting a room. Perfect this technique and you can have a decorated room to be proud of.In this short and sweet workshop, Ruksar, our decorator will introduce the technique and you will have the opportunity to practice on the walls in our LifeHouse pod’s.In an hour you will learn:1. Different types of brushes2. Brush control3. How to perfect your line between wall and ceiling, wall and skirting board and fiddly light fittings and sockets.4. Practice on our rooms before unleashing the brush on your own walls.It’s not rocket science but there is skill involved in getting this technique right, once you know how you will never look back, it’s a skill for life!(come in clothes you don&#x27;t mind getting dirty)
