A Green Funerals Workshop - presented by David Billington
This short workshop explores options and choices around creating a more carbon friendly funeral.
Green Funerals Workshop – Rethinking Farewells with the Environment in Mind
Join us for an informative and inspiring workshop exploring what it really means to have a green funeral. Together, we’ll look at environmentally conscious choices and how they can shape a meaningful, personal farewell while reducing environmental impact.
During the session, we’ll cover:
- What makes a funeral “green”
- Natural burial grounds and how they work
- Biodegradable coffins and urns
- Lower-carbon cremation options
- Sustainable flowers, transport and memorial choices
- How to record your wishes and talk to loved ones about them
There will also be time for questions and open discussion.
This workshop may be particularly useful for those planning ahead for themselves, supporting a loved one with funeral wishes, or anyone interested in environmentally conscious end-of-life choices. It’s also suitable for community groups and individuals who want to better understand the practical and ethical considerations around greener funerals.
Please contact david@fullcirclefunerals.co.uk if you have any questions prior to the event
