A hedgehog evening

Great Park Community CentreNewcastle Upon Tyne
Thursday 28 May  •  6:15 PM - 7:45 PM
Overview

Join us for a talk with Hedgehog Officer Grace Johnson from the People's Trust for Endangered Species.

Learn more about these prickly and allusive animals, followed by a short walk around the community centre looking for places you might find hedgehogs. This is an opportunity to connect to the nature on your doorstep and become a citizen scientist, learning how to monitor hedgehogs from your garden!

Arrive from 18:15 to grab a drink and a cake and get settled. The talk will begin at 18:30, lasting 45 minutes, and then heading out for an optional short accessible 1.5km walk, lasting 30 minutes, around the local area.

This event is free and open to everyone, including families, and if you plan to join the walk make sure to bring footwear you are comfortable walking in. No Prior experience/knowledge needed.
