Explore the impact of carbon through storytelling and creative reflections in this interactive workshop led by Museum Studies students

How does carbon shape our lives—and the lives of others across time and place? In this thought-provoking workshop, you are invited to explore the impact of carbon through drama, storytelling and creative reflections. Using real-life imagery and group activities, we will step into the shoes of different people whose lives are shaped by carbon: from coal miners to commuters, farmers, activists, and beyond. Participants will devise tableaux (freeze frames), explore in-character reflections, and co-create a collaborative artwork – drawing and writing their own “Reflections on Carbon”. This workshop is interactive and imaginative, blending role play, group discussion, and hands-on creation. No prior drama experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to take part!This workshop is for adults aged 16+
