'A Little Book, - and then a Joy Awakes': Papercraft Workshop

By Keats House

Overview

'A little book,—and then a joy awakes' ...wrote John Keats in his poem 'To My Brother George'.

Join poets and friends Julia Bird & Mike Sims for an afternoon of Keats-themed papercraft to make a personal 'little book'.

Turn your favourite Keats poem (or possibly a piece of writing of your own) into a simple concertina book for yourself, or to swap or give as a present. We’ll be cutting, tearing, pasting, inscribing and embellishing but no special expertise will be required.

All materials provided, but please feel free to bring any favourite pens or (water-free) craft supplies that you like to use.

'A Joy Forever: a walk out with John Keats' by Julia Bird & Mike Sims - a book inspired by their events - is out now from Paekakariki Press - details at https://blownrose.uk/a-joy-forever/
