An afternoon of energising movement, cathartic dance, restorative rest, and conversation for those navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Let's come together to move and release through dance, Qi Gong, and accessible bodyweight movement, then settle and restore with Yin and Yoga Nidra.
We’ll make space to acknowledge the changes in body and mind that come with this stage of life then use movement as a tool to connect to our innate wisdom and release what we no longer need to hold, before spending time in restorative rest.
What to expect….
- Opening sharing circle: to name what’s shifting and how we are experiencing this time of life.
- Cathartic dance: a music-led Shake The Dust session where we meet ourselves exactly as we are and create awareness through the body. Expect to shake, sweat, cry, laugh and release.
- Qi Gong & Accessible Bodyweight Movement: Resourcing Qi Gong movements rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, supporting a healthy flow of Qi (energy) through the body. Combined with Pilates-style bodyweight work to build strength and resilience.
- Yin Yoga & Nidra -infused rest: Guided restorative practices to support the nervous system and integrate the movement and release experienced throughout the afternoon.
- Practical takeaways: micro-practices and simple routines you can use on low-energy days or during hormone shifts.
Who this is for: this workshop is for women in midlife seeking community and connection to themselves whether you move daily or rarely. All bodies are welcome. Clear modifications will be offered throughout.
