Calling all creatives in Scotland!
Join me and 50 other creatives at 56 North in Edinburgh for a night of networking, conversation, and connecting with like-minded individuals who share a background and passion for the creative arts and industries.
Whether you're just starting out, have 10 years of experience, or work as a performer, writer, teacher, fundraiser, crew, composer, etc, you're welcome! This event is open to all creatives, regardless of age*, experience, or background.
What’s the purpose?
The goal of this event is to help creatives feel more connected and meet like-minded people in the city. Photographers need models, models need photographers - Building a creative network and getting to know others in both similar and different fields is so important and valuable. It can open up so many doors and lead to exciting opportunities.
Why?
My name is William (Will), and I’m a Scottish actor based in London. Like many, I moved in search of more work opportunities after feeling that the industry in Scotland was limited, secluded, and unattainable compared to London. I regularly attend networking events in the city, and only recently did I realize, to my knowledge, these events don’t exist in Scotland (or at least not as frequently as they should!).
I’d love for this event, even if just a one-off, to be an informal gathering where like-minded people can meet and discuss their creative backgrounds, passions, interests, and more. I’ve met some of the best people at these events in London, and I’d love for Scotland to have that same opportunity.
How will the event run?
The event runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 56 North, 2 W Crosscauseway, Newington, Edinburgh EH8 9JP. Sign in with me at the door and grab a sticker to write down your name alongside another one for your profession! Then head on in, grab a drink at the bar, and feel free to start chatting and getting to know everyone.
Written prompts will be available to take to assist you with asking questions. If you also need a helping hand to be eased into conversation, please let me know, and I am more than happy to do so.
*Please note that due to being a licensed bar, this event is 18+.
