A Night For Ray

A Quiz For Ray at Oscar's in Christchurch. 
Join us on the night for a very unique quiz in aid of The Bone Marrow For Leukemia Trust.
A table quiz with a difference and all for a good cause. A Quiz For Ray will see a unique spin on the traditional table quiz in order to raise money for The Bone Marrow For Leukaemia Trust on Thursday August 10th at Oscar’s Bar in Christchurch. 
 Specialist rounds on the night include The Den’s Don Conroy challenging the crowd to a round of Pictionary. The Draw With Don legend who famously taught the nation’s kids of the 80’s and 90’s how to sketch the perfect owl (among other things) will make this round of Pictionary something very special indeed. 
 Joining him with a series of special pre recorded brain teasers will be Bosco. This other legend of Irish childhoods will be asking questions of such fiendishness you will yearn for the more simple days of heading to the zoo through a magic door.
 
Niamh Farrell from the band Ham Sandwich will be stepping into the role of Linda Martin and challenging people to Guess The Lyric in a round not too dissimilar to that staple of 90s TV’s The Lyrics Board.
 
And a round dedicated to the sound track to every late teenager’s nightmares, The Leaving Cert Tape Test will round off this retro themed quiz. The night will also offer up lots of prizes for the winning team, funniest team name and spot prizes challenges involving among other things…flat 7up. 
 
The Quiz is in memory of Raymond Gaffney who passed away from a rare strain of leukaemia in 2014. Raymond battled his illness for two long years and during this time, he bravely took on the experimental medicines, countless painful bone marrow tests and the cruel uncertainty that comes hand in hand with this disease. All the money raised on the night will be going to The Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust in his name.
