A Steampunk Soiree

The museum is an independent, non-profit making organisation. It was founded and registered as a charitable trust in 1990. The trust was originally known as the Sussex Toy & Model Museum and was based on several important collections. Since 1990 these collections have been refined and enhanced to bring the museum to a point where it houses one of the finest displays of model trains, tinplate toys and other related exhibits on public view anywhere in the world. For this reason the museum is well patronised by collectors and experts from near and far. Research students and school parties are frequent visitors, since toys are included in the National Curriculum. The majority of our visitors are the general public who come to see the collections and marvel at their diversity and quality. “I used to have one like that!” is a frequently heard cry.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum

The Brighton Toy and Model Museum will be hosting a Steampunk Soiree on Saturday the 28th October from 7pm to 10:00pm.
Come and enjoy a few drinks in the clockwork and steam rich surroundings of the museum galleries while being suitably entertained both visually and aurally. Take the opportunity to get dressed up and relive the era when clothing was elegant, dirigibles were constantly under attack from sky pirates and goggles were de rigueur.
We are pleased to announce that we have secured the services of one <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/adrianofettucini" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Adriano Fettuccini" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Count Adriano Fettuccini</A>, Gentleman Juggler and Comedy Musician for the evening. With his unicycles, plate spinning, knives and babies, his brand of entertainment is both shocking and bewildering!

As well as professional entertainment, we will also be hosting a Tea Duelling competition with a prize for the overall winner so brush up on your dunking technique before the day!
