About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Join one of the National Trust for Scotland rangers on a guided woodland walk up beautiful Glen Quoich, to see the woodland restoration first hand, and learn all about the conservation work at Mar Lodge Estate.

We'll take in the historic Punchbowl and newly-restored Queen Victoria's Picnic Lodge, before following the east bank of the Quoich to the upper footbridge and back.

The east bank route has been damaged by flooding in recent years so this is a good opportunity to walk our recently realigned path, get fantastic new views of the glen, and learn about woodland regeneration and natural ecological/geological processes.

Along the way we’ll chat about the history of the estate, snow, skiing at Mar Lodge, and anything else that crosses our path!
