The Aim of this training session
Enable Residents within Warwick District to register on WCAVA’s Simply Connect Volunteer Portal, search and apply for a volunteer role during the training.
This training session will cover:
- The 4 Principles of Volunteering
- The benefits of Volunteering
- The different types and opportunities available within Warwick District
- Understanding your “Why” and making sure you choose a role that fits this
- Registering on Simply Connect Volunteer Portal
- Searching for Volunteer Opportunities
- Applying for Volunteer Opportunities
- Understand the next steps of the application process and the importance to follow this up.
Who should attend?
The course is appropriate for Residents living in Warwick District who haven’t yet registered on the WCAVA Volunteer Portal and would like to do this step by step as part of a workshop and aim to apply for a volunteer role during this training session.
Who delivers the training?
Suzanne Collinson – WCAVA Warwick District Volunteer Coordinator
How will it be delivered?
This training will be delivered in person. Attendees will use their own smart phones or tablets and connect to our Wi-Fi and go through the process step by step.
Pre Training day Prep
Think about your “Why”... Why do you want to Volunteer.
Attendees, please bring the following details with you:
- A fully charged smart phone or tablet that can connect to our Wi-Fi
- Your CV if you have one or a bit of information about you, your interests, your skills, and reason for volunteering that you can use as a profile
- Contact details for 2 references if you have them as some applications will request these.
