Ocean Blue Vault Gallery Hosts SVOS Event: A Weekend of Artistic Diversity

Ocean Blue Vault Gallery is thrilled to announce its participation in the Silicon Valley Open Studios (SVOS Site # 331) event on May 4th and 5th, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Located in Half Moon Bay, the gallery will showcase the works of five SVOS artists alongside many other artists artworks in the gallery. During the SVOS event, guests will have the opportunity to experience a diverse range of artistic mediums, including photography, watercolor, oil, and mixed media.

Discover 5 artistic women in visual art:

Eileen Wong Cervera is an oil painter whose vibrant works explore human experiences and nature's beauty with a passion for realism. Her art invites us to appreciate life's detailed beauty, offering emotional journeys that reconnect us with the familiar yet overlooked.

Barbara Masek says “My photography can represent the subject realistically, but I also create imaginative interpretations. I almost always prefer vibrant color, and bold graphics that create excitement. I enjoy diverse subjects - places of travel, coastal seascapes, landscapes, the natural world. Everything creates some form of a photograph to my eyes!”

Sylvie Levesque uses different materials like tea bags and threads she's gathered over time, along with papers she's dyed herself. In the Zenith series, she uses organic shapes to represent unity, and threads to show how everything is connected. She also says it's important to mix things up to get her message across clearly.

Yuting Wang is a watercolor artist who specializes in portrait and figure paintings. Her style seamlessly blends Eastern and Western aesthetics by balancing the abstract and the realistic, the imaginative and the visible. Through the use of symbolism, she creates enchanting and ethereal worlds within her paintings.

Karen Olsen says “It’s not complicated. I paint because it’s fun! There’s more to it, of course, but joy and fun are part of it. I was an outdoorsy tomboy with an early love of nature. My life meandered; watercolor showed up, then disappeared. A long career in graphic design followed; then, without warning, watercolor came back with a passion! And it was serious this time—serious fun!!”

Furthermore, guests are invited to enjoy complimentary refreshments as they explore the gallery and mingle with the artists themselves.

Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate art creativity in all its forms in Half Moon Bay!
