Absolutely Flagulous!

Exeter Pride is taking place on Saturday 11th May, and we’re proud to be hosting this pre-Parade event at the Library. Come along for a catch up, some free refreshments and a crafty session led by the craftiest queen we know, BopaRhys (aka Rhys Slade-Jones.)

In this free drop-in event we’ll be providing you with everything you need to craft your own punky placards, badges and flags, and some expert instruction to elevate your Pride look. So get stuck into some wholesome craft activities with your peers, or just come along for a friendly and supportive space to kick-start your Pride; whether you're after a natter, a quiet coffee, or a place to do your make-up, this is a safe and welcoming space for all.

The session will be led by Bopa Rhys, and at around 11:45 you'll be invited to head to Sidwell Street to join the Parade which kicks off at 12, or of course, you’re welcome to make your own way there!

Until 4PM we’ll also keep the Rougemont Room open as a designated Pride chill-out zone, with some tunes, refreshments and LGBTQ+ book displays, with a friendly Pride volunteer on-hand if you need a quiet place to relax or meet up.

No need to book, you can just rock up. But reserving your free place will give us an idea of numbers, and how much glitter to ship in ;)
