Abstract Collage Art Workshop

Abstract Collage Art Workshop

The Harpenden CollectiveHarpenden, Hertfordshire
Thursday, Mar 12 from 7 pm to 10 pm GMT
Overview

Expert led interactive creative experience to enjoy over a relaxed evening in the company of others while producing your very own artwork!

Join artist, Katy Cook, to make an abstract collage.

You will leave with a collage created by repeating simple shapes and layering different coloured papers over beautiful hand-made paper.

We will start by looking at some examples from art history and contemporary art which will inspire your own creations.

The rest of the session is for participants to have fun and enjoy spending time composing artwork. An opportunity to create mindfully, meet others and enjoy a glass of wine or soft drink while making.

If you’re looking for an artwork for your home, this could be an opportunity to make something personal rather than scroll mindlessly for the ‘perfect’ piece online.

Materials will be provided. However, if you have any wallpaper samples, old wrapping paper or paint sample cards, which you have been meaning to find a use for, then do bring them along.

If you have your own craft scissors please bring them but other cutting tools will be provided. Please bring a folder or bag to take your work home in. The size of the collage will be a 30cm square so a regular plastic or reusable bag should work well.

Ticket Price: Includes 3 hour workshop, teaching, inspiration/worksheet with references & info, all materials, glass of wine/soft drink, and your collage to take home!

THC Members £35

Non Members £40

*Closing date to sign up is 2nd March*
