Academies roundtable Chatham

Kreston ReevesChatham, England
Thursday, May 14 from 8 am to 10 am
Overview

Join us for an informal breakfast roundtable bringing together CFOs and senior leaders from local trusts.

This roundtable discussion will be hosted by Simon Webber, a Partner and Head of Academies and Education at Kreston Reeves, who will share his knowledge of the sector and the current issues it is facing. This will be an opportunity for you to discuss and share your views with Business and Finance Managers from other local schools.

Covering sustainability reporting will be Dan Firmager, ESG Advisor at Kreston Reeves who delivers specialist ESG support for Academy Trusts, focused on practical action, clear reporting and measurable Trust-wide impact. Services include Climate Action Plans, SECR Reporting and Energy and Carbon Dashboards.

We are delighted to share that Antonio Fletcher, Head of Employment at Whitehead Monckton will be joining the roundtable. Academy trusts are facing growing workforce pressures, including staffing shortages, more complex disciplinary and grievance cases, updated safer recruitment and safeguarding expectations, and changes in flexible working and industrial relations. Our round‑table will explore the employment law implications of these challenges and provide practical guidance to help Trust leaders stay compliant while supporting a positive working environment.

Some of the points that we expect to be discussing over breakfast include:

  • General sector update
  • Sustainability reporting
  • Employment Law update and their impact on trusts
