Over the past 2-3 years, many climate action groups sharing common overall goals and focussing on the impact of construction and the built environment have emerged in numerous countries: various ‘Declare’ groups, ACAN, Alternative Builders and Architects for Future and many more.

With this International Architects Assembly we want to bring together these diverse groups from many countries. The meeting will provide an opportunity to meet and network with others working for similar types of changes in different countries and locations.

What are the shared challenges and barriers? What are the differences? Could we learn from each other and replicate initiatives, processes, campaigns and actions that have been effective elsewhere? And how can we support each other across borders in our common cause?

At this 1 hour meeting we will begin to glimpse some answers! The session will be highly participatory and organised via break-out sessions looking at key themes and topics, from existing buildings to building the circular economy.

We invite all groups and individuals who share in our goal of tackling the climate and ecological emergency within the built environment, to attend and contribute to the conversation. The meeting is hosted by ACAN and A4F.

Who Are Architects For Future?

Architects For Future stand in solidarity with the Fridays for Future movement and are committed to meeting the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement and limiting global warming to a maximum of 1.5°.
