Access Arrangements Workshop

Are you a parent or carer of a child who may need extra support during exams?

This free workshop is designed to provide you with a clear understanding of Access Arrangements and empower you with the knowledge to advocate for your child and ensure they receive the support they need to succeed.

Access arrangements help level the playing field for students with SEND from Y2 SATS onwards. Importantly, children and young people don’t necessarily need a formal diagnosis to qualify for Access Arrangements. The focus is on their individual needs and how these impact their ability to perform in exams.

Key topics covered include:

  • What Access Arrangements are and why they’re important.
  • An overview of the 2023-24 regulations and the Equality Act 2010.
  • The types of reasonable adjustments available, such as extra time, readers, laptops, rest breaks, and scribes.
  • The evidence required to secure Access Arrangements.
