Accessibility & Inclusion Masterclass

This session will introduce key themes around accessibility in tourism and the importance of the purple pound, highlighting why inclusive experiences matter for visitors, businesses and the wider destination.

Join Bethany Sadler, Partnerships Manager at Purple Goat (the world’s first disability-led, inclusion-focused marketing agency) as she explores how the UK tourism industry can better connect with disabled travellers. Bethany will share why inclusion is essential, how to start attracting more disabled visitors, and why doing so is one of the biggest commercial opportunities for your business this year. Don’t miss this open, honest session where no question is off-limits, as we dive into everything inclusive tourism.

Jodie, Founder of NeuroTalks & Alchemy Souls Travel, will explore how businesses can create more neuroinclusive environments by better understanding how neurodivergent people experience workplaces, services and customer journeys. Drawing on lived experience and practical insight, alongside a 25 year career in marketing, media and business development, she will share simple ways organisations can make their environments more accessible, supportive and welcoming for a wider range of people.

Dave Thompson MBE, founder and CEO at internationally acclaimed and user led Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP), will share lived experience of international travel and working with commercial organisations for over 30 years. Dave will underline the business case for inclusion, in particular, how to access multi billions “purple pounds” available to businesses. Dave will outline a range of practical solutions, and the services offered by WDP that includes staff and manager training, access and facilities auditing and mystery shoppers.

The webinar will be delivered online and is open to tourism businesses operating in Cheshire.
