Dispelling myths about assistive technology and walking through of some of the most commonly used assistive technology.

Join Alex Barker, Disability Consultant for Ability Net, as he seeks to dispel myths about assistive technology and gives an informative and entertaining walk through of some of the most commonly used assistive technology. The session will last for around 45 minutes and there will be lots of time for questions afterwards. The event will cover the following objectives:•	Definition of assistive technology and some examples •	Overview of free resources that gives information on assistive technology •	Understanding accessibility setting filters on devices •	Specific examples on how volunteers can make digital sessions accessible for all •	How individuals can be referred for further support Privacy statementUpon registering your interest for this event through the Eventbrite platform, GMCA will be provided with your name, email address and organisation name.
