Session Overview

Join us for an overview of FFT's reading catch-up programme - FFT Tutoring with the Lightning Squad, which improves reading skills for pupils in Years 1 to 6. We will also explain how the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) in 2023/24 will work and how your school can best utilise its funding to deliver reading catch-up in your school.

This webinar is ideal for head teachers & senior leaders, subject leads and teachers as well as other colleagues that want to find out more about how to improve the reading skills of their pupils and how to best utilise their NTP funding.

  • The 6 reading activities that pupils work through as part of the reading catch-up programme - FFT Tutoring with the Lightning Squad
  • Find out how pupils work together in groups to improve reading skills
  • See how the programme provides assessment and feedback for pupils
  • A look at the school reports that will help you monitor the progress made by your pupils in improving their reading skills
  • An overview of the changes to NTP funding available for primary schools and how schools can best utilise this funding, as part of a subscription or placing an FFT tutor in your school
