Overview

Join our guest speakers for the last of three evening sessions at Leeds Uni discussing trans liberation in the UK and how we achieve it!

Join us at Leeds University for an evening of powerful conversation about trans liberation in the UK and what real political support should look like.

This event brings together politicians, campaigners and community voices to explore the role political leaders play in shaping the lives of trans people. What should we expect from those who represent us? How can politicians be genuine allies? What changes would make the greatest difference right now?

Our panel includes:

Alex Sobel MP, (Labour) MP for Leeds Central & Headingly, Helen Belcher OBE (Liberal Democrats) Wiltshire Councillor Co-founder Trans Media Watch, Hannah Spencer (Green Party) Trafford Green Party Council Group Leader, Jenny Knight (Green Party) Norwich Councillor & former Head of Trans Young Greens.

You will hear honest discussion, practical insight, and have the chance to ask questions and share ideas about the political shifts needed to advance trans equality and justice.

The session will run in person at Leeds University, with an online attendance option for those joining from elsewhere.

Spaces are limited. Book your place now and be part of shaping the conversation about trans liberation and political responsibility in the UK.

Bring any questions or resources you would like to share. Your voice matters.
