This Active Metamaterials event brings together UK experts for an overview of work covering optical, microwave/RF and mechanical domains.

This initial Active Metamaterials showcase event aims to bring the UK experts from academia and industry together for an overview of ongoing work in the area of active, reconfigurable and programmable metamaterials and metasurfaces, covering the optical, microwave/RF and mechanical domains.Our 8 guest speakers will give insights into their research through 5 min lightning talks followed by Q&A and discussion time during this 1h30 session. The discussions will focus on identifying targeted topics of discussions (hot topics/challenges) for further events and building collaborations in the field.
