Actor Care® was developed for actors who engage in stories that can trigger personal or vicarious trauma. It manages the actors' emotional and psychological experience of Character.  It's next level character development supporting resilience & vulnerability in the actors' creative process.

Is this a new acting technique?

Nope. It supports your own acting technique. Actor Care® is a model for self-care when delving deep into your own emotional energy, it supports your resilience and boundaries. It's  also crucial when working with subject matter that can cause vicarious trauma or reactivate your own trauma.

I have no training as an actor, can I still use Actor Care®?

Accepted Answer

Beginner actors may not fully grasp the concepts of Actor Care®. It involves delving deeper into Character. It's built on the  assumption that the actor (in training or professional) knows how to mine the script for information about Character and understands objectives, motivations and subtext.
