Teaching Concepts for Computer Science (GCSE & A-LEVEL) - in partnership with Ada, the National College for Digital Skills

Ada, the National College for Digital Skills opened in September 2016 in Tottenham Hale. We are an industry-led centre of excellence for the teaching and learning of advanced digital skills. We also aspire to be an engine for social mobility, recruiting 50% of our students as young women and 50% from low-income households by 2022.

<DIV>Peter Kemp, a senior lecturer in CS Education, will lead the session on teaching CS concepts for the GCSE and A-level curriculums. He has been involved in the creation and delivery of both so will have all the latest information and thinking. <BR>It will be an open session where people can talk about their approaches and share good practice with others. </DIV>
<BR>Also, he has recently been researching the take-up and types of students taking GCSE and A-levels which has yielded some interesting results which he will share.</DIV>
