ADDICTION RECOVERY WEEKEND- START THE NEW YEAR THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO STAY
Join us for this recovery retreat with recovery principles, creative workshop, meditation and intentions. Option to camp or bring a van
A weekend retreat of Recovery Principles and spiritual practices bringing together the original recovery principles from ancient tribes and those who started the recovery movement in the 1920's and 30's and is still leading the way in recovery today. Guest speaker talking about recovery and sobriety and so much more. Meditations and creative workshops. Talks and workshops being held indoors. Ancient ceremony out in nature around the fire. Option to camp in the rawness of nature at High Lane Farm, Gawsworth with option to bring a van. Hotels close by or drop in - drop out. Limited spaces.
We join in tribe like the native americans did in the 1700s to connect with others with addiction to share their truths.
Whether you want to recover or already have this retreat give you ways of getting and keeping well.
We will be outside at certain times but not all with the cold, raw weather of January stripping away the cobwebs and clutter from our system to feel our bodies, our feelings and who we are.
If you cant stop using or have stopped using alcohol, gambling, work, relationships, underearning, debt, substances, loneliness, isolation, codependency, porn, sex, Information Technology, exercise, food and any others you can think of please come and join us.
The purpose of this retreat is to create a safe space for healing, sharing, connecting, understanding and to create community for recovery where in the evening we will be sat around the fire with drumming and music.
This is not a detox or addiction recovery program. But it is also not a spiritual retreat with spiritual practices it is a RECOVERY BASED RETREAT.
We have an amazing speaker joining us from Came To Believe Retreats - the original foundations of AA to talk about what recovery is and isnt plus recovery workshops with Greta on the same principles. There will also be a sacred ceremony like our ancestors held where we will be working to break those family chains that can bind us. We will sit around the fire in the evening with mama cacao with some wonderful, humble people who will drum and sing abit and we can join if we like. Drumming has been found to reduce stress, calm the nervous system and take us into a meditative state.
Plus there will be a creative workshop by the wonderful Gill Black and meditation sessions with Greta plus time to relax and be with nature.
People are camping and we suggest booking for two nights so we are all ready to go on Saturday morning.
£15 ppn or £20 van and is payable to the campsite directly on 07788700470. There is also a selection of hotels and airbnb's nearby.
