About this event

  • 2 days 16 hours

Whether you are a person with Parkinson’s or know someone who is, join the community for these free, informal information days to share experiences, create connections and access information.

These events will take place on:

  • Wednesday 8 May from 12 pm to 4pm
  • Saturday 11 May from 12pm to 4:15pm

There will be different topics and speakers on each day so please join us for both days if you can!

Can't come for the whole day or both days? No worries, just join the online meeting link whenever suits you.

What's happening at the events?

These free events will offer advice about living with Parkinson’s and help connect you to support and others in the community.

  • Connect with other people living well with Parkinson's
  • Chat with advisers from Parkinson's UK who support people with Parkinson’s and their families in multiple languages
  • Meet specialists and healthcare professionals who provide support and care
  • Learn about activities that help people with Parkinson’s to live well and manage their symptoms
  • Find out how taking part in research could help to find more effective treatments for you and your community

There will be different speakers and topics on each day:

These events welcome everyone but we particularly encourage those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds to attend, as your experience is often under-represented in the Parkinson’s UK community and is crucial to fully understanding the condition.

These events are being planned and delivered in partnership with a group of people affected by Parkinson's from Black African and Caribbean backgrounds and are part of Parkinson's UK's Race Equality in Research Project. Find out more here.
