Parent Mutual Support Group - Informal chats to help and support parents of children with (or suspected) ADHD/ASD or other Special Needs

As mum of a daughter with ADHD &amp; Autism I know how lonely it can feel when you have nobody around you who understands the challenges of parenting children with these challenges. It can leave you highly stressed, not knowing what to do to help your child and the rest of the family to deal with the difficulties it can cause for the whole family. And without help you can get very low.Talking with others who understand helps - even if you don't get all the answers. Sometimes you just need to let off steam and get things off your chest with people who understand.This group was started so that parents can help each other with what's worked for them and get help and understanding where they need it. It is very informal and the contents of discussions are confidential and will be kept in the room unless it becomes apparent that any individual is at risk of harm.We will also be able to point you to resources you may not know exist.Only parents will be present - ie no teachers/medical professional.ANY PARENT OR GRANDPARENT CAN ATTEND and feel free to bring a friend (book a place for them too) - Your child DOES NOT HAVE TO ATTEND SANDHURST SCHOOL - it is held there because the Head Teacher sees the need and allows us to use a room for free.Tea &amp; Coffee will be available and we will request that you uses hand sanitiser. Masks are encouraged but not compulsory.THIS IS AN ADULT ONLY GROUP SO THAT ALL CAN TALK FREELY.BOOKING IS REQUIRED THROUGH EVENTBRITE (If you cannot attend for any reason please cancel your ticket so I know how much milk to bring!)Please don't suffer alone! Come and join us and get things off your chest. Sometimes even 90 minutes away from the pressure is a big help.Sandra x x
