Overview

Training workshop for YourStance volunteers interested in becoming facilitators for the Advanced workshops delivered to professionals

YourStance is now delivering bespoke training on basic bleed control skills to professionals working with young people outside healthcare setting.

With the previous success of delivering our 3 hour workshop for Charlton Community Trust youth workers and football coaches, we have opened up the opportunity to deliver bleed control to other professionals working with high risk young people.

In order to do this, we want to open the experience to healthcare professionals to take part in this workshop as facilitators.

Our online training will train you to facilitate our workshop.

Prior experience required:

- Experience teaching basic bleed control

- Healthcare professional

- Some experience in simulation

The rest leave it to us!

A bit about YourStance....

Our Goals

To eradicate needless deaths in our communities by having open conversations, empowering, and sharing knowledge and skills between experienced healthcare professionals and young people at risk of serious youth violence.

Aims of this workshop:

- Educate volunteers on ethos of YourStance

- Introduction to trauma informed care

- Empower healthcare professionals to deliver YourStance sessions

- YourStance workshops and how to support delivering them

- Policy update including Safeguarding, data protection and privacy policy

- Opportunity for questions and option to book onto sessions

Who can book?

- Registered healthcare professional (Doctor, Nurse, Paramedic, Midwife, EAC, HCA, etc)

- Healthcare professional must have up to date BLS/CPR training and DBS to be able to participate in our workshops
