Advent Morning Timeout
Overview
It has been really helpful to many of us to take time out at the beginning of Advent, especially those of us living with clergy at what is the beginning of an extra specially busy time. Come and join other clergy partners from the diocese at the Wisdom Centre in Romsey for an opportunity to pause, gather, reflect and eat together, as well as a chance to get to know one another, as we head into this busy time of year.
We're delighted that Revd Canon Prof. Liz Stuart MBE (former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Winchester) will be leading us during the morning sessions. The Wisdom Centre is set amongst beautiful gardens in the historic centre of Romsey. Hopefully the weather will be kind such that you can enjoy strolling around the labarinthian gardens during the breaks, and/or after lunch. Romsey is a beautiful town and definitely worth mooch around if you have the time.
The programme for the day will loosely follow this structure:
- 09.30 - Arrival with Tea & Coffee
- 10.00 - Reflections with Richard Brand
- 11.00 - Coffee break
- 11.30 - Further reflections
- 13.00 - Lunch
- 14.00 - Finish
You are welcome to come to all or part of the day.
The event is free and lunch is provided. Everyone is welcome no matter what your experience of being a clergy partner is, what stage of life you are in or where you find yourself on your own faith journey.
There should be plenty of parking on site.
