About this event

From the Jacobean Lady of the House to the Victorian housekeeper to today’s estates manager, our keeper of the keys’s access to Charlton House has always been unmatched.

For an hour, you’ll have their right-of-passage, led by an expert guide as you explore the corners of the House rarely seen by the public. Discover the lesser known half of 400 years of history, through the eyes of those who have known it best.

One glass of prosecco/non-alcoholic drink included.

Doors open 6.30pm. Tours will start promptly at 7pm. Apologies but we cannot admit latecomers due to the nature of this event.

Please be advised that this tour brings you around the five floors of a 400-year-old Jacobean house so there will be many stairs with some narrow and steep staircases.
