Age as an asset
This session brings together Fellows who want to move beyond the conversation and into action.
Ageism is everywhere and most of us have experienced it, witnessed it, or unwittingly contributed to it. But what can we actually do about it?
Your guide Lucy Standing FRSA, a Fellow who has written the book on it – literally! Her recently published Age Against the Machine and her non-profit, which supports over 1,000 professionals navigating longer working lives, have placed her at the heart of this debate. She has spent years convening policy shapers across think tanks, government and business to drive real change.
In an hour together, we'll cover:
- Where things stand — what's been tried, what's worked, and what hasn't
- Your story — sharing experiences and motivations in the room
- What's next — concrete actions and activities you can take away and act on
Come ready to contribute. This isn't a passive listen: it's a chance to find your place in fixing something that affects us all.
