Agents & Distributors

Online event
Monday, Jun 29, 2026 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am GMT+1
Overview

Our Trade Ready Training courses are aimed at helping you become trade compliant no matter where you are on your export journey.

For many businesses a key part of their international model is utilising internationally based 3rd parties such as agents and distributors. Used correctly, such parties and organisations can open up markets and opportunities without your business taking as much risk as you may have done without the agent or distributors involvement.

Through this 2-hour, interactive, British Chamber of Commerce accredited course, we will provide you with:

- An understanding of the difference between agents and distributors

- Outline the advantages and disadvantages of using either

- Key considerations when deciding whether to appoint an agent or distributor

- An understanding of the different types of agreements and what should be covered within these agreements

Accreditation:

Following the course, you will receive a multiple-choice exam which, upon completion and passing, you will receive your British Chamber of Commerce Accredited Certificate for this module.

On completion of six BCC Accredited modules, you will earn the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade. Gaining this widely recognised award demonstrates compliance and knowledge which can have positive repercussions for both yourself and your business.

The other courses within the BCC Foundation Award are:

-Understanding Exporting

- Incoterms 2020

- Commodity Codes & the UK Trade Tariff

- Rules of Origin

- Export Documentation

- Import Procedures

-Benefitting from Inward & Outward Processing Relief

- Customs Procedures

- Letters of Credit & Methods of Payment (includes two certificates)
