“Cultivating New Ideas!”
Being able to chat to the experts about a new project without making a formal appointment to go and see them is really useful.
If you haven’t attended a practical arable crop demonstration event in the past, or it has just been a while, the 2022 AgriSouth event is an ideal opportunity to come along and take a look at the wide range of arable advice and research we have brought together and to meet both agronomists and arable experts.
NIAB, Kings Crops, YARA, AGROVISTA, CMF and others will be showcasing a range of field-based arable demonstrations and trials that enable visitors to interact with leading industry experts, including variety demonstration trials in winter wheat, barley fungicide demonstrations, environmental mixes and soil profile demonstrations.

NIAB’s Technical Director Bill Clark says: “Our untreated variety demo plots are always a popular exhibit at events, giving growers a head start on their variety selection for next season, with differences in disease resistance and performance between the varieties clearly evident. NIAB specialists will be on hand to provide expert, independent advice and comment on variety choice across all cereal, oilseed and pulse crops.
NIAB champions the role of independent crop research, with the UK’s largest farmer and industry membership base providing impartial information and on-farm advice. Our unique regional farmer technical committees drive many the areas which we trial. Some of the work undertaken at our trials centre at East Malling in Kent is as a result of this, including farming system trials looking at life without glyphosate, the contribution of soil conditioning materials, the use of biostimulants and the control of herbicide resistant ryegrass.
There are very few events where visitors can see not only the latest releases and machinery developments but have the opportunity to discuss all aspects of their business’ and network with established award-winning companies all at the same time
Alongside this AgriSouth sponsors Kreston Reeves are welcoming visitors from 8.30am – 10am to join them for breakfast!
