Deep dive into Agroforestry with Ben Raskin. The what, how and why for using trees and perennial crops in farming systems. Lunch included!

This workshop will include a deep dive into agroforestry (with Ben Raskin) - the what, how and why of integrating tree crops into farming systems. The afternoon will include a farm feast from the land, a tour of Middle Ground Growers and chance for any questions and discussion.

  • Introduction to Agroforestry & most recent research, trials and progress. 10.30 – 11.15
  • Agroforestry design including species selection with Ben Raskin (widely considered as UK leader in agroforestry system) - interactive workshop with Ben. (11.15-13.00)
  • Lunch 13.00-13.45pm (provided by Bath Community Kitchen)
  • Farm tour of Middle Ground Growers agroforestry and perennial crops (with Hamish Evans, Middle Ground Growers) 13.45- 2.30
  • Practicalities of establishing and managing agroforestry systems, including harvest. 2.30-4pm

We have sliding scale ticket pricing options available, with supported and free tickets for low income individuals, farmers and growers.
